Interim Pastor

State Missionary Lamar Duke has been employed by the State Board of Missions since March 2013 and is currently an associate in the office of Associational Missions and Church Planting serving as the church planting strategist. He is currently serving as Carrville Baptist Church Interim Pastor.
Education: Masters of Divinity, New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary, New Orleans; Bachelor of Arts, University of Mobile, Mobile.
Ministerial Service: Most recently served the Baptist Convention of New York where he guided their church planting ministry efforts. Before that, he spent 25 years as a Pastor, 6 years as a church planter, and 10 years as North American Missionary.

Interim Associate Pastor

Joel H. Carter was licensed to the ministry by First Baptist Church Opelika, Alabama, March 1989 and ordained to the ministry by First Baptist Church Booneville, Mississippi, October 1993. He is married to Tamara Anne Gray Carter and have three children: Michael, Jere, and Stephen.
Education: Bachelor of Science in Education, Recreation and Sports Management, Auburn University; Master of Arts in Religious Education, Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary.
Ministerial Service: Joel has held many titles, including Chief Operating Officer, The Care Group, Inc., Student Ministry Consulting, Minister of Family Life, Student Ministry Specialist, LifeWay Christian Resources, FAITH Clinic Coordinator, Student Minister, and Minister to Students and Recreation..

Office Manager

Donna McGarity has been working as the Carrville Baptist Church Office Manager since 2000. She has been married to her husband Brent for 24 years, with three children and five grandchildren - and a Jack-Rat named Libby. A longtime resident of the local area, Donna attended Reeltown High School and Southern Union Junior College. "I feel God has led me to this position and it is more of a ministry than a job," Donna says. "I enjoy working with people and seeing to their needs." Donna attends Calvary Baptist Church in Tallassee.
