Jesus Loves You!
Tell Me More

This week’s sermon:

Becoming a Christian can be as easy as A-B-C!

Jesus loves you so much and wants to come into your heart!

Admit to God that you are a sinner
(Romans 3:23; Romans 6:23).
Repent, turning away from your sin
(Acts 3:19; 1 John 1:9).

Believe that Jesus is God's Son and accept God's gift of forgiveness from sin
(Romans 5:8; Acts 4:12; John 3:16; John 14:6; Ephesians 2:8-9; John 1:11-13).

Confess your faith in Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord
(Romans 10:9-10,13).

Is it time for you to become a Christian?

God's Holy Spirit will help you know if you are ready. If it is time for you to become a Christian, pray a prayer such as the one below.

Dear God: I know I have sinned and that my sin separates me from You. I am sorry for my sin. I believe Jesus died on the cross for me so my sin can be forgiven. I believe Jesus rose from the dead and is alive. God, please forgive me. I ask Jesus to come into my life and be my Savior and Lord. I will obey You and live for You the rest of my life. Amen.

CBC History

A ridiculously brief history of Carrvile Baptist Church.

  • 1954-1969

    Our Beginnings

Carrville Baptist Church began with the vision of the East Tallassee Baptist Church under the leadership of Reverend Raymond Scroggins in 1954. The ground was broken on July 20, 1969 for the building of the 501 Sims Avenue Sanctuary.

  • 1970-2004

    The Legacy Continued

Through a "Commitment to Build" program led by Reverend Robbins Sims, a new education building was occupied and dedicated on December 7, 1986. The membership of the church increased from the 56 Charter Members in 1954 to 454.

  • 2005-2013

    New campus acquired

After a successful "Claiming the Promised Land" campaign, on Sunday, August 9, 2009 Carrville Baptist Church met for the last time at 501 Sims Avenue and walked to 2436 Notasulga Road and dedicated their new Church Building.

  • 2014-Present

Donna McGarity

Office Manager

Its all about JESUS!

Ben Nobles:

In a world of many labels Ben desires to be known first as a disciple of Jesus Christ who is growing in grace and knowledge of His Lord (II Peter 3.18). He also welcomes the label of husband to Amy and seeks to follow Christ's example of "self sacrificing" love. Ben and Amy have been married since 2003. Another very important label that defines Ben's desires is "daddy." He seeks to raise Anzlee, Zekiel, and Hazel Beth to be, the God called adults God has created them to be. Those three relationships provide continual reminders that he is not sufficient in himself and needs to daily cry out to Christ for loving well.

Donna McGarity:

Donna has been working as the Carrville Baptist Church Office Manager since 2000. She has been married to her husband Brent for 24 years, with three children and six grandchildren - and a Jack-Rat named Libby. A longtime resident of the local area, Donna attended Reeltown High School and Southern Union Junior College. "I feel God has led me to this position and it is more of a ministry than a job," Donna says. "I enjoy working with people and seeing to their needs." Donna attends Calvary Baptist Church in Tallassee.
